I am amazed that they can put a custom set together, print up custom packaging and get them out so fast. The strings are fabulous. The guitar really comes alive with them. They also seem to hold their intonation better. I would get one, maybe two gigs out of my previous (popular brand) strings and the plain strings would go out of intonation before the wound strings went dead. I can play these until the wounds loose a bit of bite and the feel and tone stays consistent.

Amazed at how fast this custom gauge set up was put together and shipped, with custom artwork as well! Using the same gauges as Mick from That Pedal Show. Makes the guitar come alive. Doesn't pick up dents from tall frets like the 10s I was using. Don't know if it's the gauge or the wire, but these are lasting far longer than I used to get. Loving the sound and playability. Strings do make a difference.

So far i'm pleased with the quality and options Curt Mangan strings give me for a competitive price, The option of choosing my own gauges and the option of a pure nickel strings. Also the option of personalizing your custom set packaging is a plus as well.

Awesome strings for the price although I was very skeptical on if my gauge set of 9.5, 11.5, 16.5, 26, 36, 48 was going to feel right for Drop C# and I was right on the money and on top of that my name and the photo on the string set was both humorous and pleasing too see since I never encountered a company that allows you to fully customize a string set. If I could I would give curt mangan a 10 out of 5 rating for giving the option to give a musician too promote themselves, to have a great string set to which that musician is comfortable with, without us hunting down individual strings from a local music store and have to worry about the durability of them do to the fact that each string is out of their package and already started to corrode. So my conclusion to this review would be that this company is a great way to get exactly what a musican needs to every exact specification so we all dont have to worry about old corroded already open strings or what we all hope for one day.....a endorsment. Again thank you curt mangan for the moral support and oppertunity to work with you guys.
