"All my guitars are strung with Curt Mangan – Matt Schofield Signature nickel-wound strings in gauge 11-14-18-28-38-54. I discovered Curt’s strings by chance a few years ago, and quickly realized they were the best I’d ever tried. Aside from the great tone and feel, I’ve never broken a single one on a show. In fact, I used graphite saddles on many guitars to prevent breakage before discovering Curt’s strings, which allowed me to go back to my preferred steel saddles. I also use 1mm Curt Mangan “Curtex” picks."

Matt Schofield Signature
One more happy customer! I never heard of this player before, but I'm grateful to him for sharing this ingredient in his secret sauce. His signature set plays perfect on my guitar, too. I also tried this set with stainless steel. Roll your own!
Matt Schofield Set 11-54
Best strings I know of. Replaced my NYXL with these Curt Mangan and will never go back. Can’t beat the prices and they ship orders out crazy fast. Highly recommend.
Matt Schofield Strings - outstanding
Been playing for over 25 years, these are the only strings I use, for the past year now, and I've used just about everything. Really great string gauge, and I play 1/2 step down in standard tuning. Long life, slick feel, strong, and nobody else makes a set in these exact gauges, which means I'll be buying these for a long time.

Long story short ... I traded for a guitar had the best strings I have ever felt or heard on it, the guitar was a trade of a trade nobody knew what they were. I took it to couple guitar shops and bought dozens of sets from big name and boutique brands trying to find them, finally gave up. Couple years later I crawled into the rabbit hole one more time and decided to try this set due to the string gauges …. OMG this is the set that was on that guitar !!! Only took a few years but so worth the trouble. I will be using them for life ! Superior tone and feel, simply the best !!!!!!

Curt Mangan Matt Schofield Set
As a blues/rock guitarist for almost the past 50 years, I’ve used and tried lots of different string from all the top mfg out there for my Strats and Gibson’s. As soon as I strung up my vintage strat with my first set of Matt Schofield’s signature sets, I was hooked. With the guitar unplugged, sonicly the difference is so balanced, rich, and full. Plugged in, they really sound fantastic. Best strings I’ve ever used. Thanks Matt.
