This set is built in Cortez Colorado using only USA Made wire. The shiny round plain strings and hex-shaped cores for the wound strings are tin-plated, high-carbon #A-228 music spring wire. The winding on the wound strings is nickel-plated steel wire which has become the most popular electric guitar string alloy since the late 1960’s. You will enjoy balanced tone with a superb blend of highs, mids and lows and the easy bending yet solid feel of the 10-13-17P-26w-36-46 gauging which is also the world’s most popular gauging. String tension for this set in pounds when installed on a 25.5 inch scale guitar and tuned to standard pitch is (10)15.98, (13)15.18, (17)16.58, (26)18.42, (36)19.67, (46)17.41 for a total of 103.24 pounds. The best strings I have found
I have been using Curt Mangan 10.5-48 strings for a few years now, simply because they were one of only two manufacturers who offered this gauge. I play drop eb tunings in my band, and 10.5-48 give me the same tension as 10-46 in standard tuning. I have been so happy with these strings that I decided to use them on all my guitars - 9-42 on my 25.5 scale guitars, and 10-46 on my 24.75 scale guitars. These strings are my goto strings on everything now. They sound fantastic and have a punchier sound than other strings. They feel as slick as a coated string, and are priced right in the middle. I have never broken a CM string. I will continue to use these on all my guitars as I am extremely pleased and I have tried EVERY string manufacturer out there
10-46 strings
Strings sound fantastic and feel great under the fingers. In fact probably the best feeling strings I have ever played and I have played all the major brands. These are a step above

Want great tone?! I'm sure you do! There is something about these strings, the strings themselves complement single-coil pickups in a really special way. They are incredibly inviting to play on and will make you want to play more guitar! These strings are awesome!

I’ve tried a lot of strings in my lifetime, but these are the absolute best. There is something different in the feel of them that other strings don’t have. It’s like they fight for you, not against you. There is something amazing in the attack and the way the push back. And the tone is AMAZING!
