Nickel-Plated Steel wound strings were introduced in the late Sixties and have become the most popular alloy for electric guitars and bass. Nickel-plated steel tends to offer the most balanced tone. It took several years of trial and error to develop a proprietary string coating that resists tarnish and corrosion without compromising tonal quality.

Great Strings!!!
10-46 coated strings
New to these strings. Bought 6 pack and used 4 of them so far on Strats and PRS Studio. Sound great and excited to play them more. Just put them on and ready to play.
coated 10-46
there is a "feel" to these strings that is unlike anything else - they're super musical, flexible, comfortable - the coating is invisible - I appreciate that I can have 4 strats (two in different tunings) and every one of them sounds fresh and good even if I haven't played it for weeks - the coating really does keep the string from oxidizing and losing it's tone. Highly recommended!
Nice
Best coated strings available. Not too slick and don't flake up.
Great feel!
Love the way the coated 10's feel. They just play smooth and last forever. Nice even sound. Use them on my Duesenberg, tele, and on a 1980 Ibanez AS100 I just picked up as a killer blues guitar.
