10-52 Nickel Wound COATED
10-13-17-30W-42-52
Length: 43 inches.
Nickel-Plated Steel wound strings were introduced in the late Sixties and have become the most popular alloy for electric guitars and bass. Nickel-plated steel tends to offer the most balanced tone. It took several years of trial and error to develop a proprietary string coating that resists tarnish and corrosion without compromising tonal quality.

10-52 Coated Nickel Wound Strings
These are awesome - slippery feeling and nice tone...I used another brand 10-52 heavy but these are exceptional - always feels great to the touch
A happy surprise.
To be succinct, I like full, natural sounding strings. I saw a video of some folks who's opinions I greatly respect and decided to give these strings a shot. I'm quite happy with them. They don't sound coated at all and I only notice that they feel a bit (and I mean just a bit) smoother than typical nickel plated strings. The other major difference that I've noticed is that the core wire feels a fair amount more stiff than most strings I come across, including some that claim to have 'big cores'. Whether that is due to their construction method, the actual core size or whether they're hex core or round core I don't know, but I like the extra tension. I enjoyed these strings so much that I dropped my previous favorite brand immediately and ordered some custom sets. Seriously worth trying!
