ROUND CORE
Phosphor Bronze wound strings were introduced in the early Seventies and have become the most popular acoustic string. Phosphor bronze wire is made from approximately 92% copper, 7% zinc and 1% phosphorous. Phosphor Bronze provides nice highs and lows, as well as pleasant subtle overtones. Phosphorous is used to help reduce tarnish and corrosion.

Customer service / Round Core Strings
Absolutely love Curt Mangan strings. I held off for awhile buying Curt's strings because I prefer Round Core strings. Then I saw he started making round cores in both phosphor Brz. and Pure nickel. Home runs on both! I use 13- 56 on my 12 shooter (tuned down to "C") - sometimes Bb...Anyway, I ordered a 12 string set and they mistakenly sent .032's for my octave 6th and 4th strings. I had an extra 6 string medium set and just grabbed one of those for the 4th string, used the .032 for my octave 6th string - no problem. I sent a friendly notice to Curt and before I knew it, I got an email stating that I had an order shipped from Curt. I didn't expect that but was pleasantly surprised that they'd made good for a harmless mistake. Now YOU ALL know what kind of company this is. Integrity + 10 **********'s Thanks Curt for the best strings around!
Round Core Phos. Bronze.(Non-Coated)
I used other U.S. made brand round core strings for quite some time and eventually found then to be inconsistent. Then I tried Curt;s strings and I'm delighted with the tone, consistency and longevity.

It feels even all over (not one stiffer than the other) and it’s exactly what I am looking for: PB tone; hex core twang; round core feel; but not flabby. Every string is fresh and spotless. Orders ship fast. Curt him is an excellent person to deal with.
