Curt Mangan strings have been my go to strings for years. This Jason Fraley set with the 11.5 E string is perfect for my Gibson mandolin as it has a strong E preference and the 11’s sometimes sound a bit too shrill. No question in my experience that Curt Mangan strings settle in faster and last longer than other leading brands, they stay in tune better, and I love that I’m supporting a comparatively small business working right here in the US! Just put them on my mando and they sound great. The 11.5 E string feels and sounds great on my 1987 Flatiron F-5 Artist mandolin. These are sturdy strings that sound great!
