Curt Mangan 9-42 Electric Guitar String Pure Nickel Set.
Gauges: 9-11-16-24-32-42
String Length: 43 inches
Pure Nickel wound strings were used exclusively on most guitars built in the Fifties and most of the Sixties. Pure Nickel has a slightly warmer tone than nickel-plated steel and is preferred by many blues artists.
Pure Nickel Wound strings are created by wrapping Pure Nickel alloys around a hex-shaped core wire which is made from tin-plated high-carbon steel (same as plain strings, but hex-shaped).
This guitar string set is also available in Round Core.

Great strings
When i realized after putting these strings on my guitar that they came up to tension faster than other strings i have used in the past. They also held tune very well over time and sounded nice and bright.
Stays in Tune
I am really surprised (pleasantly!) how well these strings hold their tune. Even with a lot of bending, I find myself needing to adjust the tuning much less frequently. This is my first set of Mangan strings. I had used Ernie Ball before, but these seem superior. Plus, Curt was nice enough to help me pick strings that were just right for my style of playing and skill level. Highly recommend.
Pure nickel...
I really like these strings... Not too metallic sounding, more of a smooth vibe that's great for strats and teles.

Tone
I play classic country music and need that clean tone ,, smooth lows and clean highs,, these strings do that for me,, if you want a clean clear tone buy the pure nickel strings by curt Mangan,, if you play distortion buy the cheapest you can find because who cares when you play distortion...
They are better, I can feel the difference.
Just tried out my first set of Curt Mangan's, bought my usual gauge but tried the pure nickel for the first time. These strings are punchy, bright yet controllable and they feel different under my fingers, like they'll put up with whatever I throw at them. Bends, fingerpicking, strumming and single note lead limes all translate well through these strings. I just noticed they carry a 9.5 gauge so I am trying those out next. That custom gauge sounds perfect for my style. Best strings ever!
Great sounding strings
I have used quite a few brands over the years but these give a cleaner and much clearer sound. They also feel great.
