14-58 Heavy PhosPhor Bronze Acoustic Guitar String Set
Phosphor Bronze wound strings were introduced in the early Seventies and have become the most popular acoustic string. Phosphor bronze wire is made from approximately 92% copper, 7% zinc and 1% phosphorous. Phosphor Bronze provides nice highs and lows with pleasant subtle overtones. Phosphorous is used to help reduce tarnish and corrosion.

Just right for my style
I tune down (DGCFAD), have a bit of a heavy attack, and I don't like bright twangy sounds. These sound and feel just like I want them to. Even detuned, they still have enough tension to not be sloppy, yet still very playable without having to set your action really high. These are the best strings I have found so far for how I like my setup
Big bad heavy string gauge brings out amazingly sweet tones!
The .014 set of phosphor bronze acoustic strings by Curt Mangan are really that much better! I had always used 0.13 med/heavy sets to get a warmer, less tinny tone on my old Koa Takamine but when I replaced my strings with these fatty's (I didn't even know this gauge was available), my guitar tone produced a nice rich bottom, focused mids and balanced highs, in other words, the guitar has never sounded better. Just bought another pair but I'm thinking a bulk order next time.
