"All my guitars are strung with Curt Mangan – Matt Schofield Signature nickel-wound strings in gauge 11-14-18-28-38-54. I discovered Curt’s strings by chance a few years ago, and quickly realized they were the best I’d ever tried. Aside from the great tone and feel, I’ve never broken a single one on a show. In fact, I used graphite saddles on many guitars to prevent breakage before discovering Curt’s strings, which allowed me to go back to my preferred steel saddles. I also use 1mm Curt Mangan “Curtex” picks."

Amazing feel!
Amazing strings! Truelly gives you the confidence to do over the top bends or vibrato without worrying if your strings can handle it. Just a solid feeling underneath the fingertips, I'm all in all very impressed and will definitely recommend these strings to other guitar players.

The best yet
The eternal search for the best strings has, after forty odd years, ended here for me. I highly rate all of the various strings made by Curt Mangan that I've used but especially the Matt Schofield signature set - 11 to 54's are bang on the gauges I want - I've got them on Gretschs, Gibsons, St Blues, custom made strat styles etc and the quality of sound I can get from them all keeps me happy - not the esiest thing to do!

Fantastic Strings
I have probably tried every string known to man.....even some very obscure stuff...I love these....Schofield set...11-54. Have played with 12's for years....recently broke some fingers in my hand and had to go a bit lighter in receovery...went with these and fell in love....I lost NO TONE at all in these and actually like their feel and responsiveness best.
Great tone
I have been playing for 9 years and been through a lot of dif strings. These are the best. Great feel and easy to bend and you can't beat the tone. Would recommend at least trying them out before you decide to buy something else. You won't be disappointed.

Put these on an swamp-ash bodied Strat that had long been written off by my band mates as "dead wood"...needless to say we were all floored when I hit that first chord.....seriously, it sounds THAT GOOD... well balanced, easy to bend and easy on the wallet. This guitar is my new #1...
