Nickel-Plated Steel wound strings were introduced in the late Sixties and have become the most popular alloy for electric guitars and bass. Nickel-plated steel tends to offer the most balanced tone. It took several years of trial and error to develop a proprietary string coating that resists tarnish and corrosion without compromising tonal quality.

Nice feel and tone
We have put Mangan strings on our Stol guitars for years. This is the first coated set we used. The feel remains the same and the tone is still all there. I can strongly recommend these strings and personally use them as well as equip our guitars. Thanks Curt. Well done. The blue box and white envelope stings could take a lesson from you.
