10-50 80/20 Bronze Extra Light COATED Acoustic Guitar String Set

10-14-20W-28-40-50 43 inches 80/20 Bronze wound strings are often called old-school, vintage and/or bright bronze and were the most popular (only) alloy used to make acoustic strings until the introduction of phosphor in the early Seventies. 80/20 bronze wire is made from 80 percent copper and 20 percent zinc. 80/20 bronze provides a balanced highs and low with a slight increased in mid-range that seems the make the notes cut-through a little more. It took several years of trial and error to develop a proprietary string coating the resists tarnish and corrosion without compromising tonal quality.

10-50 80/20 Bronze Extra Light COATED Acoustic Guitar String Set
5 Stars

As all my acoustic playing of consequence gets recorded, and I have proven to myself that there is no difference between very light strings and heavier gauge strings in that regard, or in any other, if I am completely open, I prefer not having to work harder than necessary and to keep gauges between acoustics and electrics as close as reasonable. These coated strings suffer no loss of tonal quality through being coated, and in my case I prefer their sound to other coated acoustic strings that I have tried in the past. They are excellent and I encourage you to try them,.
