Phosphor Bronze wound strings were introduced in the early Seventies and have become the most popular acoustic string. Phosphor bronze wire is made from approximately 92% copper, 7% zinc and 1% phosphorous. Phosphor Bronze provides nice highs and lows, as well as pleasant subtle overtones. Phosphorous is used to help reduce tarnish and corrosion.

    Half size 12.5 acoustic bronze

Great strings! Lots of medium gauge tone without the medium gauge finger hurt and stress thereafter. They work well on my larger guitars - 16 inch width. I like them an will purchase them again.

    Mangan PB 12.5-55

Perfect for my maple Jumbo that needs solid loud lows and treble strings just thick enough not to jangle when the action is low and I want to turn up the volume. Maybe my new go-to strings for other guitars. I saw them recommended on a chat room and don't know why they're not more famous. Far better than the leaders in sales. Will compare them to others recommended. Just ordered the PB Baritone set and am hopeful they will outshine the few competitors

    Half Size Phosphor Bronze

I'll admit I was skeptical at first. Light gauge .054 - .012 strings are easy on my fingers, but just can't deliver the full potential from my guitar. Medium gauge .056 - .013 strings make my guitar work but my fingers take a beating at every performance. These 'Half Size' .0555 - .0125 strings, squarely in the middle of medium and light gauge strings, are absolutely perfect. I get all the tone with volume that my guitar is capable of, and best of all my fingers don't ache at the end of a gig!
