Fine strings
It was a bit of a challenge to find the "right" tone for Guild F-50 RSW jumbo. I tried different Martin, D'Addario , DR, and my fav Earnie Ball Earthwood but it either has that metallic overtone I don't like, or was unbalanced, or simply bleak. But "12-53 Phosphor Bronze Traditional" just naturally checked off all the right boxes - warm, round and deep , yet articulated, very balanced and allows RSW to really shine. Going to try couple of other Curt Mangan sets, tho this one has all the chances to be a keeper.

12-53 Phosphor Bronze
Curt Magnan has given me the opportunity to review my favorite strings for my Guild Westerly D140. And I am jumping on that invitation. Harmonics, sustain, dynamics and the ability to bend are all ear pleasing. Projection allows the guitar to cut through when jamming with others. These strings last as well as sounding better as they age adding fuller sounding bass and softer but clear midrange. The top end doesnt change as the set ages. Great sounding throughout the lifespan. My go to set. Highly recommended.

I put these on my octavius bouzouki and they sound fantastic! I have only had them on for a couple of weeks, but they are perfect.

The best sounding acoustic string, period!
The best sounding acoustic string, period! The strings have an almost "blooming" quality when strummed. The sound has a great balance and excellent projection. To top it off, the feel of the strings is good, to boot. Highly recommended!
